This is the timeline detailing the events in the Turning Point universe, in which it examines what would happen if Winston Churchill would have died in the taxi accident, instead of surviving.

1889[]

The United States, Japan, and several European powers intervene in the Boxer Rebellion in China.

July 4: The Philippine-American War ends with U.S. victory, in which the Philippines becomes an unincorporated territory of the United States, and later into a Commonwealth.

July 28: World War I beings in Europe.

April: The United States enters World War I on the side of the Allies.

October-November: Following the October Revolution, the Bolsheviks led by Vladimir Lenin rise up against the Russian Monarchy. This is known as the Russian Civil War.

November 11: World War I ends in an Allied Victory.

1919[]

June 28: The Treaty of Versailles is signed, stripping Germany of occupied territories, colonies, as well as demilitarization and paying reparations to the nations the countries affected by The Great War.

1922[]

October 22: The Russian Civil War ends with Communist victory.

December 30: The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, commonly known as the Soviet Union, is created as a large communist state stretching from Eastern Europe to the Far East in Siberia.

1929[]

October 24: The Wall Street Crash of 1929 occurs and brings the United States and the rest of the world into an era that would last for 10 years known as The Great Depression.

December 14th: British Diplomat Winston Churchill is hit and killed by a taxi in New York City , while crossing 5th Avenue, police reports indicate he was simply looking the wrong way.

1933[]

Adolf Hitler is appointed the Chancellor of Germany and adopts totalitarian policy. The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), or the Nazi party, becomes the ruling party of German politics.

1937[]

Third Reich leader, Adolf Hitler adopts aggressive foreign policy in which he rearms the Rhineland and occupies the Sudetenland.

In Asia, Japan invades Manchuria. The United States places an oil embargo on Japan.

German air forces above Poland

September 1st: Germany invades Poland, as a result of the Allies' appeasement policy, Hitler's Nazi forces were successful in Poland and continued their assault on Western Europe. France and Great Britain declare war on Germany. The United States declared neutrality and does not send aid to the British and French. Meanwhile the Nazis, using Blitzkrieg tactics, enveloped Denmark, Luxembourg, Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands.

The Fall of France.

May 10: Dunkirk evacuation. 300,000 British and French Soldiers escape to the United Kingdom as German forces close in.

June 22: The Fall of France. France surrenders to Nazi Germany and is annexed.

September: Hitler's armies invades Great Britain, after winning the Battle of Britain, crushing the Royal Air force (RAF), Operation Sealion is launched, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain surrenders to Hitler after the successful invasion.

Hitler directs Wehrmacht forces south to conquer the Middle Eastern and secure its oil.

1941[]

German forces march into the Soviet Union.

Hitler's forces invade the USSR with Operation Barbarossa unhampered moving east from Germany, north via the newly conquered middle eastern territories and advancing through large amounts of territory. Many Russian cities, including Stalingrad, Leningrad, and Moscow fall to the Nazi war machine. After a valiant effort and weeks of fierce fighting decimating the disorganized Russians, the USSR's defenses are overwhelmed, and Stalin surrenders to the Wehrmacht occupation in late September 1941.

The non-aggression pact Stalin made with Germany prior to the invasion, as well as the United States not sending aid to the France, Britain, and the USSR due to isolationism; left him without any allies to back him up.

1942[]

Japan solidifies its position in Asia, using oil gained from Germany's control over the Middle East and Russia, Japan is able to ignore the oil embargo put in place by the United States and was able to strengthen its empire in Asia. China, the Dutch East Indies, Indochina, Malaya, the British Raj (India) and the Philippines become part of the Empire of Japan.

1943[]

US Resistance movement is formed limited to intelligence support. Various resistance groups are formed in occupied Europe against oppressive regime. They are unable to do much against the Nazis, and many are crushed. Even peaceful demonstration against Nazi occupation is met with fierce hostility, as the Nazification is imposed on the occupied territories of the Greater Germanic Reich. The United States and the League of Nations condemn the Nazis, but do nothing to stop stem.

1943-53[]

The Axis Powers continue to research into weapons of war. the Nazis starts engineering and mass producing many Wunderwaffe, including jet fighters,heavy tanks,high-tech bombers. This advanced technology makes Germany the strongest nation in the world. The Nazis claim that they are not building up for war as the United States continues to believe their lies.

1944[]

Reelected President Franklin D. Roosevelt states the America will stay out of the war in Europe.

1945[]

April 12: Franklin D. Roosevelt dies of cerebral hemorrhage. Harry S. Truman, his Vice President, takes office as the President of the United States.

1948[]

Thomas E. Dewey defeats Harry S. Truman in the 1948 Presidential Elections.

1953[]

Operation Humpback Whale is launched:Axis forces launch an unprovoked attack on the East and

West coasts of America, places like New York are occupied overnight.The German invasion force overruns Washington D.C. and Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels announces President Dewey, and Vice President Haley will be resigning, allowing Nazi-supporter Speaker of the House James Edward Steveson to lead the new puppet government.President Steveston first act in office is calling all American armed forces to stand down.

However, this was not the case. Remnants of the Armed Forces supported by armed civilians fight back at what they can to the invading German forces. Resistance cells are established throughout occupied cities in the East Coast.
