The National Guard of the United States, part of the reserve components of the United States Armed Forces, is a reserve military force, composed of National Guard military members or units of each state and the territories of Guam, the Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Philippines as well as of the District of Columbia, for a total of 54 separate organizations. All members of the National Guard of the United States are also members of the militia of the United States as defined by 10 U.S.C. § 311. National Guard units are under the dual control of the state and the federal government.
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty Edit
The Army National Guard are seen in fighting the invading German forces in the East Coast of the United States. Being a reserve militia in each state and due to the situation on the East Coast, they are now part US Army in repelling the German invasion. Besides fighting, they can be seen evacuating civilians from the combat zones on major cities. Because the Germans are technologically advanced the United States, the National Guard are suffering heavy casualties. Despite this, they are determined to fight off the invaders and have openly joined the resistance. They have also defied puppet President James Edward Stevenson' order to stand down.
